What is Coaching?
Coaching is a partnership between the coach and the client which allows for exploration of potential and possibilities. The responsibility for change is on the client and therefore coaching is a wonderful opportunity to learn, grow, and experience empowerment.
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Coaching looks to the excitement of the future. It’s all about creating positive change. It honors dreams and explorations. Sessions are to be looked forward to with enthusiasm-you will enjoy them as you recognize your strengths and commitments to yourself! Therapy is about the past. It involves processing experiences that have had a negative impact on a person’s life. Imagine yourself sitting in a car. Looking out the windshield, that’s coaching. Looking at the rearview mirror, that’s therapy. Our sessions are all about that windshield.
How long will coaching take?
The answer is up to you. Some goals are quicker to reach than others. People might have several areas which they would like to address in order to plan for positive change. It really depends on what is standing in the way of now and your wedding day. I’m open to the number of sessions be it a powerful few or several over the course of your engagement. What do you need to manage this wonderful time in your life?
How do I get the most of out of sessions?
Be yourself! Say what is on your mind and don’t hold back when it comes to discussing what you need in order to have the BEST WEDDING DAY EVER. In between sessions there will be “homework” to complete (you’ll like doing it) which will help to keep us on track and you moving towards those changes and goals you’ve identified. You’ll be amazed at your accomplishments!
What can I expect from coaching?
You can expect to have a confidential, caring, and relaxed space to explore, consider options, and recognize your strengths. You’ll have the time to identify what you need to have an amazing wedding day and receive validation as you move forward. Your day awaits……..greet it with excitement and be fully present for this next step of your journey.
